Senior Materials & Processes Engineer

As a Senior Engineer, you are responsible for the selection, development, and qualification of materials and manufacturing processes for satellite structures and components.

Tasks

• Selection, development, qualification, and optimization of materials and manufacturing processes for components and assemblies
• Planning, coordination, and documentation of development, characterization, and qualification tests
• Technical support for Design, Analysis, and Systems Engineering in material and process selection
• Support for Procurement, Production, and Quality regarding new processes and Non-Conformances
• Technical responsibility for complex material and process topics in development and industrialization projects
• Technical representation in customer and supplier meetings as well as reviews and negotiations
• Coaching and technical support for less experienced team members

Profile

• Completed Master's degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or comparable
• At least 5-7 years of professional experience in a comparable material and process environment
• Fluent German skills (at least C1) mandatory
• Fluent English skills required
• Sound knowledge of metallic materials, CFRP/composite materials, surface treatments, and bonding processes
• Experience in the qualification and industrialization of materials and manufacturing processes
• Experience with ESA (European Space Agency)
