For our Steinhausen/ZG site, we are looking for a competent and experienced Operational Buyer 100% m/f

Your future responsibilities ###

In this role, you will drive supplier performance, support the execution of cross-functional projects and ensure supply chain readiness throughout the product life cycle.

• Manage end-to-end procurement activities for prototyping parts (mechatronic assemblies), ensuring timely material availability through efficient SAP processes
• Monitor supplier performance, initiate corrective actions and support supplier selection as well as procurement decisions
• Manage requests for quotations, analyze offers, perform cost benchmarks and negotiate commercial terms with suppliers
• Create and manage purchase orders and contracts, resolve billing discrepancies and maintain accurate SCM master data
• Collaborate closely with R&D, Production, Quality, Finance and Supply Chain teams to ensure successful NPI implementation and supply chain readiness
• Identify procurement risks and lead continuous improvement initiatives within the supplier base

You are a proactive, analytical and pragmatic professional who loves working in a dynamic and international environment.

• Degree in mechanical engineering, supply chain management, business administration or a related field
• Experience in operational purchasing, procurement or supply chain management in a high-tech or industrial environment
• Strong negotiation skills and experience working with SAP
• Proven ability to build and develop supplier relationships while improving performance
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
• Proficiency in English is essential; German is a plus
