Kanton Schaffhausen, Staatsanwaltschaft The Staatsanwaltschaft is responsible for criminal prosecution. Under the leadership of the First Public Prosecutor, it currently comprises the three departments: General Department, Traffic Department, and the Youth Prosecution Department. The described position is to be filled as of 1 August 2027 or by arrangement. The election of the First Public Prosecutor or the First Public Prosecutor is made by the Kantonsrat upon proposal of the election preparation commission.
