Lead, develop, network, and represent: shape the future of Caritas Schweiz with clarity, foresight, and humanity. Our client prevents and alleviates poverty in Switzerland and worldwide in around 20 countries. Caritas Schweiz is an independent association with around 1'500 employees, based in Luzern, and a member of the international Caritas network. Regarding the topics of poverty reduction, migration, and social integration, Caritas Schweiz, together with the regional, independent organizations, offers diverse services and projects for families, single parents, unemployed persons, and the working poor. We are commissioned to find an authentic and upright leadership personality for the new appointment of the Director. You hold the overall responsibility for the personnel, financial, and operational leadership and further development of the organization. Together with the executive management, you implement the strategy and combine mission, impact, and economic efficiency. Through clear decisions and open dialogue, you create orientation and trust while promoting an appreciative corporate culture. You work closely with the statutory bodies and prepare their committee business before and after. Another particularly important task is representing Caritas Schweiz towards authorities, politics, partner organizations, donors, the public, and the media, as well as strengthening national and international networks. For this versatile function, you bring a university degree at Master's level or an equivalent qualification, supplemented depending on the field by advanced training in business administration and/or non-profit management. You have led organizations of comparable size and complexity across several management levels, successfully managed changes, and possess sound business administration competence. As an entrepreneurially minded and innovative personality, you can motivate yourself and others toward a common goal and approach even demanding challenges with a solution-oriented mindset. You identify with the values and the mission of Caritas Schweiz and communicate with style in German as well as very well in French and English. You are present at the headquarters in Luzern three days per week, regularly visit other locations in Switzerland, and are available for approx. two foreign trips and several international meetings per year.
