School Social Worker / School Social Worker with a focus on Autism (45-60 %)

You will work at least every morning in a team with a young person with autism. The support is oriented towards their individual needs and abilities and focuses on the promotion of basic competencies. Additionally, assignments in other classes with students with higher care needs due to physical, sensory, or perceptual impairments may occur.

Your tasks

• You support a young person with autism through everyday life
• You design recurring rituals and processes
• You enable relationship building and create a basis of trust
• You implement socio-pedagogical topics with individual children and/or with an entire class (incl. preparation and follow-up)
• You are involved in short-, medium-, and long-term lesson planning
• You are simultaneously part of the care team, which is responsible for lunchtime care and leisure activities for the children and young people. This also includes camps conducted by the ZKSK
• You take responsibility in the nursing area and will be introduced and supported by a nursing specialist
• You participate in parents' evenings, assessment meetings, and progress meetings
• You make your know-how available to other specialists
• You complete administrative work independently (reports, entries in the file storage and in Lehreroffice, etc.)

Your qualifications

• Degree in social pedagogy
• Experience in the special school sector and with children with autism is desirable
• A flexible, proactive, and resilient personality with a high sense of teamwork
• Joy in working with children with physical, sensory, and multiple impairments
• Pedagogical skill in dealing with heterogeneity and mixed-age learning
• Experience in diagnostic assessment and support planning with a focus on socio-pedagogical topics
