The main objective of this position is to act as the central Supply Chain interface between internal planning teams and external contract manufacturing organizations (CMO). You will coordinate the flow of supply and demand information between the two parties and ensure that production plans, purchase orders, forecasts, and delivery schedules are aligned with market requirements. A significant part of the role consists of proactively identifying and managing supply exceptions, shortages, and backorders, and ensuring that potential disruptions are addressed before they impact customer service levels and product availability. This is therefore not a generalist Supply Chain position, but a highly collaborative operational coordination role at the intersection of planning, external manufacturing, and market supply. Your main responsibilities • Act as the primary Supply Chain interface between internal planning teams and external CMOs • Coordinate supply and demand needs between internal stakeholders and manufacturing partners • Ensure adequate production at CMOs to meet customer and market demand • Manage and track purchase orders, ensuring their timely issuance, confirmation, and delivery • Closely monitor delivery schedules, open orders, and order exceptions • Provide forecasts to CMOs and align production needs with medium and long-term demand • Proactively identify potential supply disruptions, shortages, allocations, backorders, and stockouts • Assess the impact of supply or quality issues on market availability and coordinate appropriate actions • Manage supply priorities and exceptions to maintain agreed customer service levels • Support synchronization between customer orders, production campaigns, and material availability • Act as the key contact for product inquiries, shipments, planning, and logistics-related topics • Work cross-functionally with market supply planning, customer service, quality, manufacturing technology, procurement, and external manufacturing partners • Support supply chain performance analysis and relevant key indicators • Coordinate product rework/repair activities at CMO sites if necessary • Support and lead supply chain-related projects as needed Your profile • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business management, or a related discipline • Approximately 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, consumer goods, or a comparable regulated manufacturing environment, ideally in supply chain or production • Hands-on experience in supply planning and coordination with manufacturing sites and/or external manufacturing partners • Strong knowledge of master planning, forecasting, customer service, logistics, distribution, and/or inventory management • Very good understanding of operational planning processes, including MPS, MRP, and forecasting • Experience working with ERP systems • SAP, BI, and/or APO experience would be an advantage • APICS certification (CPIM and/or CSCP) is a plus • Project management experience is an asset • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify supply risks and drive issues to resolution • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills within internal and external organizations • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work accurately in a dynamic and deadline-driven environment • Excellent MS Excel and MS Office skills • Fluent English; French and/or German would be an advantage • Availability to travel occasionally if necessary Mission details This is a 12-month temporary mission, starting as soon as possible. The position is based in the Neuchâtel region, Switzerland, with a hybrid work model requiring approximately 50% on-site presence.
