Head of Institutional Fundraising and Philanthropy 70-90% (w/m/d) The Schweizerische Flüchtlingshilfe (SFH) is the leading refugee organization in Switzerland and the umbrella organization of refugee aid agencies and organizations. It advocates for the rights of people in need of protection and promotes understanding of their living situation. With its expertise, it shapes public debate and influences social and political framework conditions. The Communication and Fundraising department with 10 employees is responsible for the strategic communication of the SFH, strengthens its public visibility, and secures the financial foundation of the organization through targeted fundraising from private individuals, foundations, and institutional donors. To strengthen our fundraising team, we are looking for a committed personality as of the beginning of 2027 who will make a decisive contribution to our projects through strategic relationship work with foundations and major donors. Head of Institutional Fundraising and Philanthropy 70-90% (w/m/d) Your area of responsibility: You strategically expand the area of institutional fundraising and philanthropy; You acquire and support foundations and other funding institutions (research, relationship building, application creation, reporting); You develop sustainable relationships with existing and new major donors through personal contact maintenance, visits, and tailor-made offers; You create individual support plans for our most important funding partners with the goal of high retention and long-term partnerships; You plan and manage your fundraising pipeline, pursue clear annual goals, and systematically evaluate the results; You work closely with program managers, communication, and finance to develop convincing projects and impact stories. Our requirements: You have several years of experience (at least 5 years) in the field of foundation fundraising and major donor; You have a university degree in economics, marketing, communication, nonprofit management, or a comparable education; You have very good knowledge and, if possible, a broad network in the foundation landscape; You communicate clearly and winningly and feel confident in personal contact with other people; You have excellent presentation skills and manners; Your first language is German, but you can also communicate easily in English with your conversation partners; You have a structured, independent, and reliable way of working; You are experienced in using CRM systems and enjoy key figures, planning, and reporting; You are motivated to advocate for refugees and to credibly represent the values of the SFH.
