The focus is on the reliable migration of extensive customer holdings from existing systems into a modern portfolio management platform, as well as the construction of stable daily data connections. For this demanding position at the Zürich location, we are looking for you as: Senior Data Migration Engineer | Investment Finance | 80-100% (m/w/d) # YOUR TASKS In this central function, you will take on the technical end-to-end responsibility for complex data migrations and ensure that customer master data, position and transaction data, as well as the entire investment universe, are transferred completely and correctly into the target system. You will analyze extensive and complex datasets from existing portfolio and financial systems, develop suitable transformation logics, and be responsible for the validation, plausibility check, and quality assurance of the migrated data, including coordination with the respective source systems. Furthermore, you will design, implement, and operate interfaces to custodian banks and external data providers, thereby ensuring the reliable processing of the daily data feeds that are essential for correct portfolio management. You will automate individual steps of the data migration, optimize existing processes with regard to quality, efficiency, and scalability, and support the project teams with functional and technical challenges during data takeover. As an important interface between consultants, the development department, customers, and external data providers, you will ensure structured cooperation and contribute significantly to the successful onboarding of demanding customers. YOUR PROFILE You have a successfully completed degree in computer science, business informatics, financial mathematics, or a comparable qualification and bring several years of experience in the analysis, preparation, transformation, and migration of large volumes of data, ideally within the financial industry. You possess a sound understanding of common liquid asset classes such as equities, bonds, and derivatives, as well as the associated financial transactions and corporate actions. Very good knowledge of Python as well as sound experience with SQL and relational databases are required; knowledge of document-oriented databases such as MongoDB and other programming languages is an advantage. You convince through strong analytical skills, a structured and solution-oriented mindset, as well as the ability to quickly grasp complex data relationships and translate them into robust technical solutions. A careful, independent, and well-organized way of working is as natural to you as the responsible handling of sensitive customer data. Business fluent German and English skills at least at level C1 are required; other national languages are an advantage.
