Traffic Service Manager - Aarau Train Control Post (m/f/d) 50-80% #

The train control post - the heart of safe and punctual railway traffic.

To strengthen our team at the train control post, we are looking for a person responsible as a traffic service manager / train control post manager for the Aarau site starting from 1 November 2026 or by arrangement.

Your tasks

• You direct and monitor train traffic as well as maneuvers on the WSB network (lines S14 Aarau-Schöftland and Aarau-Menziken)
• You organize and plan train traffic in compliance with current regulations and prescriptions
• In case of disruptions or incidents, you take the necessary measures and ensure the maintenance of railway or replacement traffic
• You plan and organize the use of locomotives as well as the deployment of personnel in case of short-term absences
• You develop and communicate operational instructions to the driving staff and other stakeholders
• You guarantee rapid and complete customer information, especially in the event of service disruptions
• You coordinate the flow of information within the operation and work in close collaboration with various internal services

Your profile

• You have training as a railway dispatcher, traffic service manager / traffic manager category B or are ready to undergo this intensive six-month additional training
• You hold a federally recognized vocational apprenticeship diploma (EFZ) of at least 3 years or a maturity
• You like taking responsibility and guarantee through your decisions and actions the safety of railway traffic as well as that of our passengers
• You remain calm in stressful situations and prioritize tasks to be completed quickly and correctly
