The Staatsarchiv des Kantons Bern collects, indexes, and maintains the archival material worthy of preservation for the history of the Canton of Bern, from its medieval beginnings to the present day. As a modern service provider, it makes its holdings available to the administration, research, and an interested public for inspection in its reading rooms.

Your tasks

• Conservation and restoration of valuable archival material (books, documents, AV media, maps, and plans)
• Providing technical information to authorities and private individuals
• Preparation of archival material for exhibitions and loans
• Provision of photographic materials for digital recording
• Supervision of interns in the studio

Your profile

• Diploma from a university of applied sciences or equivalent training
• Professional experience as a bookbinder is an advantage
• Further training in the field of pest control is desirable
• Service orientation
