Project Manager Pedestrian and Bicycle Traffic / Traffic Safety

Do you want to contribute to the safety of the diverse users of transport infrastructure through your work? The kantonale Tiefbauamt manages around 740 km of cantonal roads -- and you will ensure a free range of movement for cyclists and pedestrians with targeted measures. At bus stops, you will take care of barrier-free access. In any case, you will pay attention to the traffic safety of all road users. For our department Projekt Management Verkehr, we are looking for an independent personality who wants to contribute their expertise in a targeted manner to this versatile field of activity.

Your tasks

• Leading and coordinating road construction projects in the area of pedestrian and bicycle traffic as well as barrier-free bus stops and traffic safety from the study to the publication or the handover to the executing department
• Developing studies and conducting preliminary clarifications for the evaluation and prioritization of new projects
• Carrying out planning orders with the delegation of tasks to the commissioned planners
• Negotiating with the affected municipalities and landowners to ensure the feasibility of the projects

What you bring with you

• A completed university of applied sciences degree in the fields of civil and traffic engineering or a comparable qualification as well as further training in the field of project management
• some years of experience in construction and traffic planning
• good specialist knowledge in the areas of road construction, traffic safety and pedestrian / bicycle traffic
• audience-appropriate handling of stakeholders
• networked, analytical thinking and goal-oriented working to develop innovative solutions
• proficient in oral and written expression
