The contribution you can make

• Independently check, maintain, and repair electrical and electronic systems, containerized systems, and power generation plants, ensuring their technical operational readiness
• Systematically analyze faults and defects, perform electrical measurements and functionality tests, as well as carry out necessary repairs according to professional standards
• Perform new installations, expansions, and modifications of electrical plants and systems in accordance with current safety regulations and provisions
• Perform periodic inspections and electrical checks, document the results of the verifications, and eliminate discovered defects according to professional standards
• Prepare maintenance documents, checklists, and technical documentation, as well as reliably record performed work and work orders in the SAP system
• Advise members of the army as well as internal and external service beneficiaries on technical matters and provide specialist support during the delivery and return of material

What distinguishes you

• Completed vocational training as an electrical installer AFC or equivalent electrotechnical training as well as authorization for high-voltage systems
• At least three years of practical experience in the field of electrical installations as well as experience in the maintenance and repair of electrical plants and systems
• Good technical understanding and knowledge in the field of generator sets; knowledge in air conditioning technology or sanitary systems is an advantage
• Good computer skills at user level and, ideally, experience in using SAP
• Driving license category B; driving license category C1 is an advantage
• Autonomous, accurate, and responsible way of working, ability to collaborate constructively within the team and systematic respect for safety regulations

The Swiss Army Logistics Base (BLEs) is available to the troops. It provides all logistic services in favor of the Swiss Army and, with its approximately 3500 employees and 12000 militia soldiers, manages the material, systems, and infrastructure of the Swiss Army.
