The gibb Berufsfachschule Bern is a cantonal vocational school of the Canton of Bern. We teach around 7'000 young people in more than 60 commercial-industrial professions and train about 1'000 professionals in part-time higher vocational education (HBB).

Tasks ###

As a vocational subject teacher, you are responsible for the school-based training in vocational subjects for a class of learners in training to become a Sanitary Practitioner EBA. You teach adolescents and young adults who are in training according to the educational plan. You design your teaching to be action-competence oriented and with contemporary didactics. The application of new forms of learning is a matter of course for you and brings you joy. The center of your activity as a teacher is always the learners with their different characters and learning needs. You focus on the individual learning potential of the learners and are able to transfer the motivation for learning and for the profession of the Sanitary Practitioner. Teamwork is an important concern to you.

Requirements ###

Basic requirements: - Apprenticeship as Sanitärinstallateur/-in EFZ and several years of professional experience - Flexibility, patience and a good sense when dealing with adolescents and young adults - Interest in professional and pedagogical further education - Motivation to further develop the instruction of the Sanitary Practitioners - Digital competencies Ideally, you bring these qualifications (or the willingness to complete them): - Vocational or master's examination Chefmonteur/-in Sanitär - Vocational pedagogical education of at least 300 learning hours (e.g., Basismodul A, EHB) - Teaching experience in the EBA program
