October 2026 Job description Daycare Center Manager, 60-80 % In the north of the city of Zürich - in Seebach - we are opening the Kita Birch in spring 2027 with three groups for children from 3 months up to kindergarten entry. We are looking for a motivated, energetic personality as of 1. October 2026, who will participate in the construction and co-design of the daycare center from the very beginning with a focus on early childhood education.  Tasks You will take on the pedagogical, personnel and organizational leadership of Kita Birch within the framework of the overarching conceptual and structural specifications. You will take on tasks in the area of quality assurance, further development and implementation of pedagogical concepts or offers and participate in cross-daycare working groups. You will work closely with parents as well as with actors from the neighborhood. You are responsible for organizational, planning, maintenance and controlling tasks. You will participate in projects and develop concepts. Profile Education in Childhood Pedagogy HF, Social Pedagogy/Social Work HF/FH or comparable qualification as well as experience in managing a daycare center and corresponding further training in the field of management/leadership Experience in situation- and education-oriented daycare pedagogy (BuLG, infans, Situationsansatz, Pikler) Enjoyment of self-organized and structured working Independent, communicative and resilient personality who enjoys taking responsibility Excellent administrative and organizational skills as well as proficient use of IT We offer A demanding, varied challenge in a dynamic and pedagogically oriented environment where working with the children is the focus. In the Kita Birch, 36 daycare places for children including places for children with special care requirements are offered. Cross-group work where children from a wide variety of cultures can discover the world, involving aspects of early childhood education, care and upbringing, forms the pedagogical focus. Interested?
