Engineer Functional Safety (m/f)

As part of an interdisciplinary team, you are responsible within the framework of product development for the certification of automatic door systems as well as for the functional safety of hardware and firmware.

Your tasks

• Providing documentation with the support of development for the certification of hardware and software at external certification bodies
• Analysis and documentation of system interdependencies considering functional safety
• Moderation of risk analyses (using FMEA) with employees from R&D
• Supporting firmware, electronics, and mechanics development during certification

Your qualifications

• University degree (ETH/TU/FH) with specialization in electronics or software engineering
• Experience in the certification of hardware and software, experience in EN ISO 13849 and EN 61508 is an advantage
• Experience in dealing with external certification bodies
• Experience in the development of firmware and/or electronics considering functional safety is an advantage
• Conceptual and analytical thinking at the system level
• Willingness to familiarize yourself with the tasks
• Understanding of technical and normative interdependencies
• Independent, reliable, structured, and goal-oriented way of working
• Good German and English skills in speaking and writing
