As the national umbrella organization for the Social Economy, SENS represents and promotes impact-oriented companies in Switzerland. Together with them, we create reach and attention, networking across industries and with the European environment.

We organize the annual Swiss Social Economy Forum (SSEF), lead the financing ecosystem Impact Catalyst, and are the official People and Planet first verification partner. As the Swiss representative, we are part of the European Social Enterprise Monitor as well as the Buy Social Procurement Program.

Managing Director, initially 40 %

Do you want to lead and further develop the umbrella organization of the Social Economy in Switzerland? Then we look forward to your application.

Your tasks

• Overall responsibility for the planning, management, and financing of the organization
• Functional and personnel leadership of the team
• Coordination of activities with the department heads on the board
• Planning of the annual offerings and activities as well as strategic further development in cooperation with the board
• Maintenance and expansion of the member network
• Regular exchange and relationship management with the funding side and other relevant partners
• Fundraising and stabilization of the long-term financing base

What you bring with you

We are looking for a personality with organizational talent, initiative, and a good sense for stakeholder management. Ideally, you bring:

• Experience in the management of a smaller organization
• Fundraising know-how
• Knowledge of the Social Economy and impact ecosystem
• Experience in dealing with different stakeholder groups, especially impact-oriented companies, funding partners, and network partners
• Joy in further developing structures while simultaneously implementing them operationally
• Very good communication skills in German and English
• Independent, reliable, pragmatic, and structured way of working
