With more than 12'000 inhabitants and over 11'500 jobs, Münchenstein is both a residential and working place. Although the municipality of Münchenstein today almost seamlessly merges into the city of Basel, it has preserved its independence and its own charm and character. We are looking for a motivated, humorous and resilient personality for our youth work team. You will complement our team as a youth worker 50% immediately or by agreement. Your tasks ### You will help to rebuild the youth work in Münchenstein from scratch. The three pillars of venue operation, outreach youth work and project work are to be given equal weight. Together with your team management and your team, you will contribute to the holistic development of young people, enabling them to have a positive integration into society. The young people will be empowered in competencies such as independence, participation, communication, initiative and self-organization, so that they can realize their personal needs, recognize their own resources and learn to take responsibility for their own behavior and actions. Through your presence at various locations in the municipality (youth house, break area, public space), you and your team will reach a broad group of young people who will implement projects and activities out of their own initiative. Our expectations ### You have a degree in Social Work, Socio-Cultural Animation or similar and have professional experience in youth work. You are a dynamic, positive and open personality who shows great interest in the life world of young people. You are characterized by sociability, conflict ability and flexibility. You are willing to work irregular hours and ideally have a category B driver's license and are a committed person who enjoys their job and has a good sense of humor.
