The contribution you can make

• Independently direct the ordinary duties of the assigned command troops, schools and training courses
• Assume responsibility for specialist instruction and training as well as support for quartermasters, unit sergeants and troop accountants
• Coordinate all deployments within and outside the commands, schools and training courses within the scope of the ordinary troop duties
• Autonomously create teaching aids and work programs on the topics of ordinary troop duties and methodology
• Manage and control the entire financial planning and credit administration within the commissariat service at the command, school and training course level

What distinguishes you

• Higher professional education (commercial or technical) with 2-3 years of experience relevant to the function
• Economic maturity or a federal certificate of capacity as a specialist in finance and accounting is desired
• Mandatory military instruction (the rank of quartermaster or unit sergeant is an advantage)
• Experience in the field of adult education
• Availability to work irregular hours
• Category B driving license and good knowledge of at least one second official language

The Training Command (Cdo Istr) is responsible for instruction within the Swiss Army -- from recruitment to general basic instruction up to officer instruction -- regarding both militia and professional soldiers. It includes Higher Officer Training, Army Personnel, five training formations, the Instruction Center and the specialized Service for Women in the army and diversity. A third of the approximately 2350 employees are active in civilian professions in scientific, technical, medical, psychological, administrative or sporting fields and contribute to success together with professional soldiers.

The Swiss Army employs over 9000 employees within the framework of four military professions and approximately 200 civilian professions, in 110 locations throughout the national territory. Furthermore, it provides for new recruits, training apprentices in over 30 professions.
