Your commitment to security and freedom

The Instruction Command (cdmt Instr) is responsible for instruction within the Swiss Army -- from recruitment to the training of cadres for the militia and career soldiers, including general basic instruction. The cdmt Instr includes Higher Officer Training, Army Personnel, five application trainings, the Army Instruction Center, as well as the specialized service Women in the Army and diversity. One third of the approximately 2350 collaborators exercise civilian professions in the scientific, technical, medical, psychological, administrative or sporting fields and, along with career soldiers, contribute to the success of the army.

The Swiss Army employs more than 9000 collaborators in four military professions and approximately 200 civilian professions, across 110 sites throughout Switzerland. It also ensures succession by training apprentices in more than 30 trades.
