The Information Technology Center (ITZ) is a central service provider for the Zurich University of the Arts and is responsible for the entire IT infrastructure. ZHdK members are assisted in the use of IT resources and can benefit from various services such as: support in case of hardware or software problems, instruction and training regarding IT, possibilities for lending IT equipment, operation of basic IT services and infrastructure, assistance in planning and implementing IT projects, development or extension of existing applications.

During the 4 years of apprenticeship, you will receive complete and varied training to become a platform developer. By promoting autonomous work on productive systems, we offer the conditions for successful integration into the professional world. The use of different technologies and platforms (for example: Microsoft Windows, MacOSX, Debian GNU/Linux) guarantees varied activities. Apprentices can actively participate in the design of their training.

Tasks:

• Assistance in various projects
• Participation in the planning, operation, and maintenance of the server and network infrastructure
• Help with the configuration and automation of productive systems
• User support

• Theoretical and practical interest in IT
• Structured and autonomous working method
• Patience and perseverance
• Taste for solving complex problems
• Team spirit
• Good knowledge of German and English
• Secondary school diploma
