Team Leader Professional Guardianship for Child and Adult Protection

The Sozialberatungszentrum Region Gossau is a polyvalent position that, on the one hand, fulfills statutory mandates in the field of child and adult protection for seven contract municipalities and, on the other hand, offers consultations on a voluntary basis in the areas of addiction counseling, family and parenting counseling, couple, separation and divorce counseling, as well as in budget and social insurance matters.  ## We are looking for a Team Leader Professional Guardianship Child & Adult Protection (80%) - Leadership with clarity and empathy ## Do you enjoy working with people in special life situations, can you sort out complex situations and maintain an overview even when things get emotional? About us ## In our professional guardianship, we accompany children, adolescents and adults whose life circumstances require special support. We manage mandates in child and adult protection and we are committed to empowering people so that they can use their resources, take responsibility and shape their everyday lives in an increasingly self-determined way. Your role ## In this function, you take on a key role between expertise, people management and organization: • You lead a team of 6 professional guardians professionally, organizationally and personally. • You accompany your team in demanding case constellations, create orientation and make clear decisions. • You manage your own child & adult protection mandates and thereby remain close to practice. • You help shape processes - from quality development to interfaces with KESB, courts and specialist agencies to projects for the further development of the area. • You promote a culture of learning: professional input and collegial support and supervision are a matter of course for you. ## What defines you ## You don't have to be perfect - but you should burn for this job: • Degree in Social Work FH or equivalent training, ideally with further training in child and adult protection/mandate management • Experience in leading specialists or a clear motivation to grow into a leadership role • Several years of practice in mandate management: You know the challenges of guardianships from your own experience • Enjoyment of clear communication, even when it becomes challenging - towards clients, authorities, relatives and your team • Ability to deal with ambivalences and conflicts, to set boundaries and at the same time maintain relationships. • Good knowledge of relevant legal areas (ZGB, social insurance law etc.) as well as in file management and case management software KLIBnet If you also bring humor, serenity and a desire for further development, you are exactly right for us.
