The Nordic Arena is a sports facility for the Nordic skiing disciplines ski jumping, Nordic combined and cross-country skiing in Kandersteg. The facility includes four modern ski jumps that are operated year-round, connection to the Kandersteg cross-country trail network as well as operational and technical buildings. In addition to the sporting use of the facilities by sports teams from all over the world for training and competitions, we also offer further experiences in the Nordic Arena: mountain tubing, jump tours, trial ski jumping or camping pitches. Your tasks: • You are responsible for the technical operation of the Nordic Arena Kandersteg. • You are responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the technical facilities, equipment and the surroundings. • You plan and execute minor construction measures. • You are responsible for the training operation on the ski jumps. • You support the organization of (sports) events. • You assist with the existing offerings (especially mountain tubing, trial courses in ski jumping and team and company events). • You perform simple, daily tasks in administration (e.g. reservations, billing), answer telephone inquiries and inquiries via e-mail and plan the deployment of temporary staff. • You support the further development of the Nordic Arena. Your experience and your profile: • You have a manual/craft vocational training or training as a caretaker and possess all-rounder skills in the technical field. • Experience in the field of sports facilities in summer and winter (e.g. preparation with piste grooming vehicles) and a commercial education or further training are an advantage. • You are proficient in German and English (spoken and written). • You bring a passion for sport and are service-oriented in dealing with international guests and athletes. • You are flexible and prepared to work weekends and evenings. • You are proactive, independent and enjoy working in a team.
