Job Description Reporting to the Assistant Technical Director, the essential responsibilities and functions of the position include, but are not limited to: • Monitor and clean the exterior/around the building. • Inspection of the condition of the green space ground after rains and the spreading of topsoil. • Meticulous inspection of paths, parking, paved recreation areas. • Maintenance of green spaces, collection of garbage and tree leaves. • Inspection of external faucets (watering system). • Inspection of external lighting fixtures. • Sweeping of paths and pedestrian walkways. • Inspection of retaining walls and fences. • Cleaning of gutters, drainage, and ditches. • Weeding of green spaces and flower beds. • Weeding and cleaning of sewers, drainage, gutters, and water evacuation points. • Weeding and repairing of paved/concrete paths and pedestrian walkways. • Monitor and clean all external stairs on every level. • Monitor and clean public areas. • Maintain, clean a space, a place, a room according to the manager's directives. • Select appropriate cleaning products and materials. • Disinfect and decontaminate sensitive premises. • Eliminate pollution of places through ventilation and deodorization. • Maintain floor coverings. • Wash windows. • Replenish small supplies, maintenance products, cleaning equipment for the day's operations. • Exterior cleaning with appropriate tools. • Snow removal of hotel accesses, securing slippery areas in winter (snow removal, spreading sand). • Be responsible for the proper presentation and cleanliness of assigned areas while respecting the standards established by Fairmont and the expectations of our clientele. • Assist in the maintenance of green spaces under the direction of the gardener. • Maintain equipment, a machine. • Perform first-level maintenance. • Constantly offer professional, friendly, and pleasant service. • Execute requested service tasks with care. • All other tasks, as assigned. • Familiarize oneself with service orders. • Be responsible to one's superior for the tasks entrusted. • Report work completed to one's hierarchical superior. • Constantly offer professional, affable, and engaging service. • Commit to the quality of one's service, discretion, and perfect honesty. • Have a professional attitude, be smiling, and remain calm at all times. • Learn LQA technical and emotional standards and put them into practice. • Respect ergonomic work standards regarding health & safety, and hygiene and sanitary prescriptions. • Respect the policies, procedures, and service standards of the department and the company. Qualifications • 6 months of experience in a similar position (maintenance of public space). • Physical work capacities. • Experience in 4* or 5* hospitality, an asset. • Excellent knowledge of the French language. • Knowledge of the English language, an asset. • Autonomous: management of time, organization of work, and economy of movements. • Rigor and speed of execution. • Flexibility and taking initiative. • Versatile and able to work in a team.
