LGT Geolab AG is an independent Swiss company located in Obergösgen (SO) and offers services for geology, civil engineering, and planning offices.
To complement our team, we are looking for, immediately or by arrangement, a
Laboratory Manager Geotechnics & Quality Management (80–100 %)
In this responsible key position, you will take over the technical and organizational management of our soil and geotechnics laboratory. You will ensure the standard-compliant execution of our laboratory tests and actively participate in the further development of our quality management as well as the accreditation process.

Your tasks

• You manage our soil and geotechnics laboratory independently in a technical and organizational capacity.
• You perform laboratory tests such as water content, grain size distribution, Proctor, Atterberg limits, bulk density, carbonate content, and loss on ignition etc. in accordance with standards and plausibilize the results.
• You ensure professional sample preparation, documentation, and standard-compliant testing procedures.
• You are responsible for the testing and laboratory equipment, including maintenance, monitoring, and calibration.
• You maintain the relevant work, testing, and procedural instructions.
• You are responsible for quality management according to ISO 9001 and actively participate in the accreditation process according to ISO/IEC 17025.
• You accompany internal and external audits and further develop the laboratory technically and qualitatively.

Your profile:

• Technical or scientific education, ideally in geotechnics, geology, soil mechanics, or construction material testing.
• Several years of practical experience in a soil, geotechnics, or construction material testing laboratory.
• Confident and independent handling of the relevant testing methods and standards, as well as experience in the plausibility of results.
• Knowledge of quality management according to ISO 9001 and/or ISO/IEC 17025, ideally with audit or accreditation experience.
• Independent, structured, and responsible way of working with enjoyment in the leadership and further development of a laboratory.
• Good German skills in speaking and writing.
