What to expect

• Construction, operation and optimization of complex infrastructures with high requirements for availability, security and performance
• Consulting, construction, configuration and operation of Kubernetes or OpenShift environments
• Construction and operation of Postgres, Kafka and MongoDB environments
• Consulting, construction and deployments of microservices in the described context
• Collaboration in projects both in conception as well as in the implementation of new solutions in close cooperation with ICT system architects, project managers and customers
• Systems engineering activities in the corresponding specialist areas

What you bring

• University of applied sciences, ETH, or university degree in the field of computer science
• At least 5 years of professional experience in Linux systems engineering with sound knowledge in several of the following areas, preferably with corresponding certifications
• Analytical and interdisciplinary thinking skills
• Entrepreneurial, independent and qualitative actions, customer- and result-oriented
• High level of commitment and flexibility as well as willingness to learn new things
• Structured and goal-oriented approach
• Communicative, team- and conflict-capable personality with good assertiveness

Mandatory specialist knowledge:

• Linux and/or UNIX operating systems RedHat (or derivatives), Ubuntu, Debian
• Container orchestration in the area of Kubernetes and OpenShift

Desired specialist knowledge:

• Orchestration and automation Ansible
• Messaging platform experience Kafka
• Server virtualization solutions VMware vSphere
• Scripting Bash Shell, Perl
• Server, storage and backup systems
• Experience with modern AI-supported development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot or similar
• Further specialist knowledge desired

Advantageous:

• Experience in regulated industries such as banking or payment.
• Experience with cloud solutions such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Microsoft Azure

The demanding activities require a (technical) university degree in computer science, proven professional experience, proficient German and English in spoken and written form, flexibility, commitment and interest in dealing with customers and employees.
