Job Summary As a "Quality Engineer", you are a key member of the operational quality team. Your role is to identify recurring non-qualities, prioritize them, analyze them, and find their root causes in order to implement corrective and preventive action plans. Equipped with mechanical technical expertise, you lead and facilitate quality problem resolutions. You bring DMAIC continuous improvement logic to life on a daily basis. This is in accordance with our quality management system (non-conformity management system, standards management system). You assume the role of backup for the Quality Control team Leader and support your technician inspector colleagues in the operation of the measurement cell: management of measuring resources, calibrations, and performing mechanical inspections. Your main activities • Non-conformity management: You actively contribute to the monitoring of non-conformities, from their identification to the implementation of corrective and preventive actions. • Problem solving: You lead and facilitate quality problem resolutions. You identify potential causes and root causes of non-conformities and propose long-term solutions to prevent their recurrence. You are involved in the most complex analyses. • Control plan: You analyze and define the control plans to be implemented. • Part compliance: You are capable of inspecting parts manufactured in-house and by our suppliers. You have the technical experience to challenge various stakeholders regarding the part. • Control of measuring tools and equipment: You provide support in the management of measuring resources: maintenance, calibration, adjustment of periodicity, evaluation of new external service providers. • Interservice collaboration: You collaborate actively with the machining, assembly, methods, and technical office departments, as well as with purchasing, within the framework of your activities. • Regulatory and normative monitoring: You ensure that all internal processes are always compliant with the quality standards followed by the company. • Team Leader replacement: In the absence of the Team Leader, you take charge of managing the daily activities of the control cell. Your profile • Mandatory training: Technical training level CFC in mechanics (polymechanic, industrial designer or equivalent) + Higher education (ES technician or HES Bachelor) • Mandatory experience: • Mechanics experience: Minimum 1 to 2 years of practice. • Problem solving & quality management: Minimum 1 to 2 years of practice (combinable with the previous point). Proof of experience and results in problem-solving methodologies in an industrial environment / mechanical design. • Inter-team collaboration: Proof of experience in facilitating multidisciplinary/inter-departmental work. • Technical skills: Expertise in the use of conventional measuring resources. Ease in reading technical drawings. • IT skills: Good command of office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Knowledge of SAP is an advantage. Knowledge of a quality management software / measuring resource management software / control plan management software is an advantage. • Language skills: Proficiency in French (written and oral), professional English (written and oral). German is an advantage. • Precision and rigor: Sharp sense of precision and ability to make informed decisions regarding quality. • Logical thinking and problem-solving abilities: Strong ability to analyze complex technical situations, being able to listen to different interlocutors and synthesize learning into a clear action plan. • Autonomy and priority management: Ability to manage time and priorities even in situations of heavy workload. Being efficient in communication with hierarchy. Being able to make technical decisions but also knowing how to escalate points as needed. • Dynamism and posture: Proactive, naturally curious, possessing a strong desire to learn and contribute directly to the development of teams and processes.
