Nurse in EEG Epileptology - 80%

You will operate in two sectors at once, both inpatient and outpatient, with agility across the 3 shifts. You are responsible for welcoming and caring for epileptic patients of all ages (from children to the elderly), as part of a pre-surgical assessment of epilepsy or in the performance of EEG examinations. You provide specific autonomous care and perform delegated medical acts. You manage emergency situations. You support patients as well as their families following the epilepsy disease to prepare for potential surgery by relying on therapeutic education. You work in close collaboration with the medical team. You hold a Bachelor HES in nursing or an equivalent recognized title by the Swiss Red Cross. You have a successful experience of at least 5 years as a nurse. You are interested in the care of epileptic patients of all ages (from children to the elderly), hospitalized for monitoring and close surveillance. Your clinical judgment is developed and you know how to question your professional practice. You are rigorous with a mastery of technical gestures, institutional protocols, and acute situations. You have good stress management and a sense of adaptation during emergency situations. You establish a respectful relationship, listening to patients and relatives, knowing how to adapt your communication to different situations. You uphold the relational values of working in an interprofessional team. You demonstrate rigor, flexibility, versatility, and are open to change. You are ready to participate in the continuous training offered by the medical team in order to progress and update your knowledge. This department provides care to patients of all ages, children and adults, suffering from neurosurgical, neurological, ophthalmological, and oto-rhino-laryngological pathologies. Care is adapted to the needs and difficulties of the patient, from the most acute sectors (intermediate care units) to the rehabilitation sectors (neurorehabilitation). The objective of the department is to lead patients towards a recovery of their autonomy through teaching, support, and outpatient follow-up. It ensures the operation of patients as well as their support, in order to promote an early return home. In the same vein, outpatient care is also prioritized and operative activity is optimized, to facilitate accessibility to care within a reasonable timeframe. The Neurology Service provides diagnostic and therapeutic care to patients suffering from a neurological condition, often in collaboration with other Services such as neuroradiology, neurosurgery, neurorehabilitation, and the specialty Services of internal medicine.
