Justizvollzug und Wiedereingliederung (JuWe) is part of the Direktion der Justiz und des Innern of the Canton of Zürich and employs around 1'400 women and men with diverse professional profiles. JuWe is responsible for the execution of sentences and measures as well as the implementation of the various types of detention. For the employees of JuWe, the successful social reintegration of convicted persons and the prevention of recidivism are of particular importance. Das Massnahmenzentrum Uitikon (MZU) is the measure facility for convicted male adolescents and young adults aged 16 to 25. The MZU has 58 detention places, of which 28 places are in closed detention and 30 in open detention.
