Shiptec AG is a subsidiary of SGV Holding AG. With its engineering office and a shipyard, it provides technical services in the areas of ship design and engineering, alternative drives for ships, shipbuilding, ship revisions, conversions and ship maintenance in a national and international environment. Your area of responsibility Designing, calculating, simulating and developing electrical, electronic and automated plants, systems and controls in ships; including hardware and software development Designing, calculating, simulating and developing electrical systems for alternative ship drives, onboard power generation and shore power connection Conceiving, conducting and evaluating measurements of electrical and shipbuilding data on ships in operation Creating feasibility studies regarding electrical/electronic plants, energy systems, regulations and controls on ships Creating execution documents (incl. schematic and installation plan) for electrical plants, systems and controls Supporting suppliers, customers and internal system integrators during commissioning (e.g. of new drive and energy systems) at the customer's site (approx. 20%) Requirement profile Completed studies as an Electrical Engineer ETH/FH with specialization in drive and energy technology or automation, ideally in combination with software development Experience in the field of automation and system technology/integration as well as corresponding sensor technology and actuators Experience in measurement technology Experience in using Engineering Base, Matlab/Scilab, Automation Studio, Step7 Knowledge of electrical machines and their control Knowledge of design and calculation principles and design standards in electrical and apparatus engineering Enjoyment of developing new solutions in an experienced team Very good German and English skills in speaking and writing, French and Italian an advantage Willingness for multi-day assignments away from home in Switzerland and Europe (average approx. 20%) Shiptec AG Shiptec AG offers a unique working environment in which innovation and passion for shipping are at the center.
