Java Fullstack Developer 80-100% (m/f/d) - Java/Spring/Kafka/Kubernetes/DevOps

For the role as Java Fullstack Developer, we are looking for an experienced specialist with sound knowledge in Java software development and in the implementation of Spring-based backend solutions (925336JP). The focus is on the development and integration of software components with Java, Spring and Kafka as well as collaboration on infrastructure and DevOps topics.

You bring at least five years of experience as a Java Software Engineer and have used Spring as the primary backend technology in projects for at least three years.

Tasks:

• Development and further development of Java applications based on JSE/JEE or JSE/Spring.
• Implementation and integration of backend components with Spring.
• Integration of Kafka into the application landscape.
• Collaboration on infrastructure, deployment and monitoring topics in the DevOps environment.
• Participation in software quality as well as in technical concepts and architecture questions.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer with Java, using JSE/JEE or JSE/Spring.
• At least 3 years of project experience with Spring as the primary backend technology.
• Sound practical experience with Kafka.
• Experience with infrastructure and DevOps technologies, for example Helm configurations for PaaS or Kubernetes package management, ArgoCD for GitOps and deployment, Splunk for log management and analysis or Grafana for metrics and dashboards.
• Good knowledge of test automation technologies such as JUnit, Selenium, Playwright, Cypress or Karate.
• Advantageous: Initial experience as a software architect

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with the following tools: IntelliJ, Maven, Git, Jenkins, Sonar
• Professional experience in federal administration or other national / international authorities
• Practical experience with Scrum methodology

Education:

• University degree (FH, Uni, ETH) in Computer Science or Business Informatics

Languages:

• German native language/business fluent
• Good language skills (B2) in English and/or French are an advantage
