Veterinary Practice Assistant TPA Small Animal Practice Bern

A young, warm practice team in the Bern area is looking for reinforcement that brings joy to animals, people, and responsibility. We are looking, immediately or by arrangement, for a Veterinary Practice Assistant EFZ (female or male) with a workload of 80 – 100 %, optionally with a leadership function. In a modern, centrally located small animal practice, a varied area of responsibility with direct contact with pet owners and their four-legged friends awaits you.

What awaits you in this responsible task

• You receive, care for, and advise pet owners on the telephone and on-site and take over appointment scheduling as well as the maintenance of customer files
• You assist during consultations as well as during operations and take over anesthesia monitoring and postoperative care
• You independently collect and process laboratory samples and assist with X-ray and ultrasound examinations
• You care for and sterilize surgical instruments and ensure cleaning, inventory management, and food orders
• You support in emergencies and take over the billing of services and medications
• You optionally take over the technical leadership of the TPA team

What you bring with you

• Completed training as a Veterinary Practice Assistant EFZ or Veterinary Practice Assistant EFZ
• Experience in a small animal practice or clinic is an advantage
• Joy in dealing with animals and people
• If interested in the leadership function, initial organizational or leadership experience is an advantage
