The municipality of Fulenbach with around 1‘850 inhabitants is a dynamic and lively Solothurn municipality in the Aaregäu, thanks to its good transport links, rural structures, and active club and cultural life. Thanks to a good mix of residential and commercial areas, the close-to-nature surroundings, and the culturally active village life, Fulenbach represents an attractive place to live. The Fulenbach school has two modernly equipped school locations (main school building Salzmatt as well as kindergarten building in the village center). The Fulenbach school sees itself as an integrative, modern school.
We are looking for a technically competent, open-minded, and proactive personality as School Director (60 - 70%) Kindergarten, 1st-6th grade, (Music School) as of 1 December 2026 or by arrangement.
Field of responsibility
Within the framework of the professional mandate, you will take over the technical, organizational, and administrative leadership of our school according to the existing school strategy. You are responsible for the pedagogical and personnel leadership of around 25 teachers, who teach 8 class departments (incl. kindergarten). You assume responsibility for the implementation of the educational policy objectives. This includes the further development of teaching quality as well as the advice and support of teachers and legal guardians.
Profile / Requirements
As a committed and innovative personality, you succeed in maintaining and further developing the school culture of Fulenbach and successfully implementing the overarching school development topics together with your teaching team.
You ideally have leadership experience and possess completed school management training or are prepared to complete it promptly. You are characterized by personal commitment, conflict and teamwork skills, and possess very good communicative and organizational skills. An appreciative, open, and clear manner forms the basis for a good working atmosphere.
