Health Data Architect (openEHR/FHIR)

In the health domain, we work with various AI and LLM providers to meet Swiss requirements for data protection and sovereign data processing. Our mission is to transform Swiss health IT with open standards (including openEHR, FHIR/HL7). To strengthen our Digital Health team, we are looking for a passionate Health Data Architect (openEHR/FHIR) to design data architectures for major Swiss health institutions, based in our Zurich office. • You will advise hospital stakeholders on data architecture governance for openEHR-based clinical data repositories (CDR) and FHIR-based operational data repositories (ODR) • You will support hospital modeling teams in conceptualizing a sustainable and scalable clinical and operational data architecture • You will help integrate the two repositories with existing hospital information systems • You will define and encourage architecture principles and best practices for data management, security, and monitoring • You will ensure compliance with data protection requirements (nLPD/FADP, GDPR if applicable) • You will ensure integration between clinical and operational data repositories, enabling full traceability across clinical and administrative processes • You will define governance frameworks: roles (clinical modelers, architects, IT teams, clinical experts), modeling processes ensuring quality, maturity measurement, and compliance monitoring • You will contribute to strengthening OWT's internal expertise in openEHR/FHIR and participate in strategy development • More than 7 years of experience as a software/data architect, ideally in the health sector • Practical experience in delivering openEHR-based CDRs or FHIR-compliant interfaces in clinical environments or any other medical modeling standard • Deep understanding of clinical and operational processes in health institutions and hospital IT systems, preferably in Switzerland • Expertise in governance: building frameworks for role allocation, modeling processes, maturity assessment, and architectural compliance • Previous experience in consulting, hospitals, or health software providers • Ability to facilitate workshops, present to mixed clinical/technical/executive audiences, and produce deliverables within set deadlines and budgets • Proficiency in German and English (minimum C1 level); French is a plus • Excellent communication skills with clinical, technical, and management stakeholders • Certifications (openEHR, FHIR, HL7) are an asset • A dynamic and collaborative culture with a strong client focus, working with prestigious Swiss organizations on diverse and cutting-edge technological projects • A growth-oriented environment with a clear career trajectory and opportunities for rapid progression • A modern working model combining office presence, teleworking, and collaboration at client sites • A competitive salary and a good work-life balance • A team of experts always ready to share their knowledge, supported by a proven mentoring model to accompany your personal and professional development. *Ready to have a real impact on digital health in Switzerland?* Join our team of experts in a company where technology, innovation, and collaboration guide everything we do.
