WHO YOU ARE As an apprentice at IKEA Schweiz, you are not on your own - you are part of a large apprentice community. Together, you will experience how exciting and varied it is to work in an international company, take on responsibility, and develop yourselves. Because during your apprenticeship, we show you step by step everything you need to stand securely in professional life after your training and to achieve your own goals. In logistics, you work behind the scenes and are nevertheless in the middle of the IKEA experience. With your team, you ensure that our products are in the right place at the right time and that our shelves are filled with flawless goods. In this way, you contribute directly to our customers finding what they are looking for and having a pleasant shopping experience. You don't have to know everything yet! It is important that you are curious, enjoy learning, and want to contribute at IKEA. In order for you to fit well with us, ideally you bring the following: • You find what happens behind the scenes exciting and want to see how logistics works in real life - from delivery in the warehouse to the shelf in the furnishing store. • You like being in motion, roll up your sleeves, and feel comfortable in an environment where things can sometimes move quickly. • You enjoy working in a team, for example in group work at school or in a club, but can also complete tasks independently. • You are open, respectful, and communicate honestly - also with people from different countries and cultures - and contribute to a positive atmosphere in the team. • You can imagine working in early or late shifts as well as occasionally on Saturdays, are confident using a computer or tablet, speak German very well, and already understand a little English. You are responsible for • You learn how you, together with your team in the background, ensure that our IKEA furnishing store and the warehouse are always well-filled - so that our customers find what they are looking for. • You practice how to unload trucks and bring the goods to the right place - into the warehouse or directly onto the sales floor, so that everything is quickly available. • You work with our computer systems: You learn to check and record stocks so that we know how much of which product is still there. • You notice how important teamwork with other departments is - for example with sales or customer service - so that the path from purchasing goods to the shopping experience for our customers works well. • You learn to work carefully and safely: You pay attention to order, adhere to safety rules, and help protect people, products, and work equipment. We want to be open and honest: unexcused absences make us uncertain whether you bring enough motivation for the rather strenuous vocational school. If you have absences, a short explanation in your application would help us to better understand your situation and to assess your motivation correctly. • voluntary attachments such as trial internship reports or personal work/projects that you are proud of \*Addition: A cover letter is not mandatory for us. We are looking for people who fit us and are motivated to do their apprenticeship at IKEA. Therefore, we invite applicants who are in the shortlist to an afternoon at the IKEA furnishing store to get to know us and so that you get an initial insight into how an apprenticeship at IKEA works. This makes the decision easier for everyone afterwards - for you and for us. The get-to-know-you day takes place on 17.09.2026 from 09:00 - 17:00 at the Spreitenbach furnishing store.
