The Care & Security (B&S) area of the Justizvollzugsanstalt Pöschwies (JVA) ensures a secure, orderly, and legally compliant daily prison routine and thus makes a significant contribution to the operation of the institution.

We are looking for a committed and responsible personality as a Technical Clerk / Management Support 80–100% starting 1. Januar 2027 or by arrangement. The position is fixed-term until the end of 2028.

In this function, you support the area particularly in the planning, coordination, and implementation of organizational, technical, and security-relevant tasks and projects.

What you will achieve with us

• You maintain and manage security-relevant systems and applications and ensure their reliable operation
• You manage user accounts, roles, permissions, and master data carefully and as required
• With evaluations and data controls, you ensure data quality and take care of error correction
• You keep system and process documentation up to date and traceable
• You support the planning and implementation of controls, actions, exercises, and events
• In daily operational business, you relieve management and the team and contribute to smooth service operations
• You provide technical and organizational support on short-term demand
• You train employees in the use of security-relevant applications and devices and stand by them with questions

What you bring with you

• Completed vocational training, ideally in a technical or manual field
• Very good MS Office skills, especially advanced Excel skills (mandatory)
• Technical flair and enjoyment in dealing with different systems and applications
• Independent, reliable, and structured way of working
• Manual dexterity and the willingness to roll up your sleeves
• Quick comprehension, networked thinking, and a solution-oriented approach
• Calmness and an overview even in demanding situations
• Flexibility and willingness to take on night shifts for special requirements
• Impeccable reputation without entries in the debt enforcement and criminal register extract

About us

The Justizvollzugsanstalt Pöschwies (JVA) is one of eight main departments of JuWe and the largest closed facility for men in Switzerland. With around 400 prison places and about 300 employees, it contributes to the protection of the general public according to its legal mandate while simultaneously creating the conditions for the resocialization of the admitted persons.
