Industrial Software & Automation Engineer (gn) Your tasks Development and further development of PLC, HMI and software solutions for thermal spray systems Programming of Siemens S7-1500 controllers with TIA Portal Development of HMI applications with Java using modern software architectures and design patterns Setup and use of virtual test environments with Siemens SIMIT Implementation of test automation and software quality assurance concepts Integration of databases as well as industrial communication protocols Collaboration on CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes with GitLab Implementation of cyber security, IEC 62443 and CRA requirements in development projects Collaboration in interdisciplinary and international teams as well as support during commissioning Your profile Degree or comparable training in computer science, software engineering, automation or electrical engineering Several years of experience in PLC development with Siemens S7-1500 and TIA Portal Experience with SIMIT, test automation and virtual commissioning Sound knowledge of Java, object-oriented software development and design patterns Experience with databases (SQL, Firebird, MongoDB) Knowledge of industrial communication systems (PROFINET, Modbus/TCP, OPC UA) Experience with Git, GitLab, CI/CD and modern software development processes Knowledge in Industrial Cyber Security, Secure Development, DevSecOps, IEC 62443 and Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) Structured and solution-oriented way of working with a strong understanding of systems Very good German and English skills Occasional support assignments at customer plants domestically and abroad We offer Varied activities in an internationally oriented company in the high-tech sector In early 2027, Oerlikon Metco will move to Hausen (AG) – a modern production and technology center for thermal spray awaits us Open corporate culture and a friendly, open-minded team Perspectives for personal and professional development Independent work in an attractive working environment An attractive compensation package with good social benefits Do you feel addressed?
