Over 400 detention places serve the execution of investigation, security, deportation, extradition, and police custody. At the regional prison in Thun, we are looking for a / an Registered Nurse HF/FH 40% - 60% fixed-term for one year from the start of employment, starting immediately or by arrangement. Your tasks <br /> • Treatment and care of admitted persons with somatic or mental illnesses as well as in cocaine, heroin, benzodiazepine, and alcohol withdrawal. • Systematic medical entry monitoring for new admissions. • Ensuring all medical administration, including maintaining the internal electronic medical record for the admitted persons. • Coordination and organization of doctor visits with internists, psychiatrists, psychologists, and dentists. • Professional implementation of doctor-ordered instructions. • Requesting medical information and records from other institutions. • Assisting in the management of the prison pharmacy in compliance with legal frameworks and instructions from the pharmacist entrusted with senior supervision. • Management of medical consumables as well as ordering, preparing, and distributing prescribed medications for the admitted persons. • Readiness to undertake irregular work shifts and on-call duties. (No late shifts/ no night watch) <br /> Your profile <br /> • You have completed further training as a Registered Nurse HF/FH or completed a comparable education and have already been able to gain several years of professional experience. • You have no difficulty expressing yourself stylistically in the German language, both orally and in writing. Good oral French skills will additionally facilitate your daily work.
