Senior Controller (m/f/d) as a Business Partner

The Spitalverbund Appenzell Ausserrhoden with the Akutspital Herisau and the Psychiatrisches Zentrum AR in Herisau ensures the expanded basic medical care for the population in the Canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden and is also the first point of contact for a large part of the population in the surrounding region. Both locations are relevant for care for the Canton and beyond.

In the Finance Department, we are looking for a Senior Controller (m/f/d) with a workload of 80-100% starting on 1 December 2026 or by arrangement.

Attractive tasks

• Technical and operational responsibility for operational accounting with cost center and cost unit accounting according to REKOLE®
• Contact person for questions regarding the cost accounting of the SVAR for internal and external stakeholders
• Implementation of regular REKOLE® audits and recertifications
• Creation of reports, statistics, special analyses and economic efficiency calculations
• Support in the establishment and further development of the Management Information System (MIS)

That is why we want you

• Commercial basic training with further training in business administration (HF, FH) or advanced training in accounting (for example, federal diploma)
• Professional experience in a similar function in the healthcare sector or the willingness to quickly and independently familiarize yourself with new subject areas
• Knowledge of REKOLE® is an advantage
• Very good user knowledge in MS Office (especially in Excel) and ERP systems
• Reliable, structured and exact way of working
• High service orientation and communicative skills even in hectic times
• Good integration and teamwork skills
• Temporal flexibility with regard to closing work and reporting
