As part of our Sigma Temporaire department, we are pleased to collaborate with a renowned company in the construction sector based in Valais.

To meet its needs, we are actively looking for an experienced M/F carpentry technician:

ES Carpentry Technician

Technical skills (core profession)

• Reading and interpretation of plans, diagrams and calculation notes
• Knowledge of wood structures (traditional, industrial, glulam framing)
• Mastery of assembly techniques (mortise and tenon, scarf joints, metal connectors)
• Layout, cutting and machining of wood
• Use and adjustment of machines and tools (saw, planer, mortiser, power tools)
• Implementation of roofs and wooden frameworks
• Knowledge of construction standards and regulations (DTU, safety rules)
• Installation, assembly and lifting of carpentry elements
• Quality control, verification of stability and compliance
• Notions of strength of materials and load calculations

Complementary technical skills:

• Use of drawing or CAD/CAM software (e.g.: Cadwork, AutoCAD, SEMA)
• Reading of technical documents and digital plans
• Basics in measurement and estimates
• Site monitoring and coordination with other trades
• Maintenance and upkeep of wooden works

Safety and organizational skills:

• Strict application of safety rules on site
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Organization of the workstation
• Respect for deadlines and procedures
• Working at heights safely

Interpersonal skills (soft skills):

• Team spirit and collaboration with other stakeholders
• Clear communication with colleagues, site manager or clients
• Autonomy and sense of responsibility
• Stress management and adaptation to site constraints
• Respect for instructions and hierarchy

Your profile:

• ES technician diploma
• Skills in planning, reading and establishing plans
• Use of technical software (Cadwork, AutoCAD, etc.)
• Interface between the design office and the site

Personal qualities:

• Rigor, precision and sense of responsibility
• Reliability and professional commitment
• Good communication and team spirit
• Ability to adapt and stress management

Conditions:

• Category B driver's license required
• Availability for site interventions
• Good physical condition
