As a Cyber Security Engineer, you are part of our security team and contribute to continuously developing our security architecture, detecting threats at an early stage, and professionally processing security incidents.

Your tasks

• Independent planning, coordination, and advancement of security work packages – from conception to implementation
• Development and optimization of detection engineering approaches for the early detection of cyber threats
• Conception of secure platforms and networks as well as evaluation, design, and integration of complex security solutions, processes, and tools
• Analysis and prioritization of security alerts as well as continuous optimization of detection mechanisms
• Execution and support of vulnerability management from detection to patching
• Execution and support of hardening tests and security audits
• Participation in security incidents and in the regulated 24/7 on-call service

We are looking for doers

• Completed studies in computer science, cyber security, or a comparable training with corresponding professional experience
• Initial practical experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or in a comparable security environment
• Experience in handling SIEM systems, ideally Splunk Enterprise, as well as with other security tools
• Broad knowledge in cyber security and IT, especially in handling Windows and Linux platforms
• Understanding of modern cloud and SaaS architectures
• Very good German and English skills in spoken and written form
