Legal Secretary Legal Services 80 - 100% # With around 1'400 employees, Justizvollzug und Wiedereingliederung (JuWe) is responsible for the execution of sentences and measures as well as for the implementation of various types of detention. Our employees from around 40 professions support and promote the reintegration of convicted individuals and commit themselves effectively and progressively to a safe and just society.   The Untersuchungsgefängnisse Zürich (UGZ) are one of eight main departments of JuWe, comprising seven facilities with around 735 prison places and approximately 500 employees. They are responsible for provisional arrest, investigative and security detention, as well as the early execution of sentences and measures until transfer to an execution facility. In doing so, they fulfill a central function within the Zurich justice system.   For the legal service of the UGZ, we are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic, communicative and team-oriented personality.  This is your field of activity ### • Processing of demanding, enforcement law questions from the investigative prisons • Support and advice for the prison management, the social and health service and the employees in a varied legal field of work with close practical relevance  • Preparation of decision bases and legal basis analyses  • Preparation of statements on legislative changes  • Processing of complaints and appeals  • Correspondence with proceedings management as well as defenses • Conception and implementation of internal training and information events on relevant legal bases for employees • Participation in projects and working groups within the UGZ, JuWe or beyond This is what you bring with you ### • Completed studies Master of Law • Ideally already professional experience in the penal system and/or in the cantonal administration • Generalist interest and holistic way of thinking • Enjoyment of interdisciplinary cooperation • Sociability, independence and a flexible attitude This is what is special about this position ### • Versatile and demanding activity in an interesting, lively and extraordinary environment • High degree of independence and responsibility • Work in an exciting and interdisciplinary environment • Place of work near the Altstetten station as well as in all UGZ facilities • Terms of employment according to cantonal guidelines Your application ### Take the next step in your professional career with us and send us your application via our online tool.
