As a non-profit organization based in Bern, the Oekonomische Gemeinnützige Gesellschaft Bern OGG initiates, promotes, and realizes projects for resource-conserving livelihoods. We support measures for a future-proof agriculture, promote soil protection, advocate for sustainable food systems, and deal with current social issues. The Weltacker and the Stiftsgarten in the Bern old town represent our non-profit commitment. In addition, we are involved - partly through subsidiaries - in the prevention of food waste, social participation, as well as urban gardening. We are the publisher of the newspaper Schweizer Bauer.

For our office in Zollikofen, we are looking for, at the earliest possible date, a

Your tasks

• You are responsible for the overall operational management of our association and lead the office with around 15 employees.
• You work closely with the board and other management bodies, prepare the meetings, and ensure the implementation of the resolutions.
• You are responsible for the implementation of the projects within the framework of the strategy decided by the board.
• You support the strategic planning.
• Together with our communication specialists, you ensure good communication within the OGG and to the outside world.

Your profile

• You have a university degree or a higher professional qualification.
• You have several years of professional and leadership experience in a non-profit organization and can identify with the values of the OGG Bern.
• You bring a pronounced interest in a future-proof agriculture, soil protection, sustainable food systems, as well as environmental and social issues.
• Further training in NPO management is an advantage.
• You live a cooperative, open, and transparent leadership style that is based on trust, clear responsibilities and decisions, as well as a focus on the joint achievement of goals.
• The use of modern software solutions is familiar to you.
• You enjoy actively driving forward projects with high social benefit in a small and committed team.
