Board Member Finance

The Non-Profit Housing Cooperative Industriestrasse (GWI) is a young housing cooperative in Luzern, committed to innovation in the cooperative system. In the coming months, the first occupancy of our new and renovated properties on Industriestrasse is imminent. At the same time, we are already working on the long-term development of our cooperative. This includes the financing of future projects, the planning of upcoming renovations, ensuring a sustainable equity base, and the further development of our financial strategy. The board is looking for reinforcement in the finance area, effective immediately or by agreement. In addition to a meaningful task with the best cooperative members, you can expect the following tasks: • Support for management in financial planning, budgeting, and liquidity planning • Participation in the financing of existing and future construction and renovation projects • Development of financing strategies for new buildings, renovations, and area developments • Ensuring the long-term financing of the cooperative and maintaining relationships with banks, investors, and funding institutions • Participation in strategic equity planning and the development of sustainable financing models • Evaluation of investments and preparation of decision-making bases for the board • Collaboration on the further development of the financial strategy and risk management • Representation of GWI in the Finance working group of the Kooperation Industriestrasse (approx. 4 times a year) • Participation in board meetings (approx. 10 times a year) and participation in financially relevant strategic decisions For this responsible task, we are looking for a person with knowledge in the field of finance (finance and accounting specialist, trust specialist, or equivalent performance record) who is willing to actively contribute. The time commitment is approximately 2 hours per week. The services are remunerated according to the GWI's compensation regulations.
