Team Leader Sample Preparation Environmental Laboratory

Job Description

For our sample preparation, we are looking for a committed personality with organizational talent and technical understanding. In this leadership role, you will coordinate the daily business in sample preparation, work actively alongside the team, and thereby ensure that our samples are processed on time, safely and in compliance with quality standards.

Your Tasks

• You plan and coordinate the daily business of sample preparation and allocate the arising work within the team in a meaningful way
• You prioritize incoming orders and coordinate deadlines as well as special requirements with Customer Service and the analytical laboratory areas
• You lead the team technically, assign tasks and support employees with technical and organizational questions. Disciplinary personnel responsibility lies with the laboratory management
• You actively participate in sample preparation and carry out simple physical investigations. The activity includes standing and physically active work as well as the safe handling of samples, containers and technical equipment
• You also ensure, together with the team, orderly warehouse management of samples, chemicals and consumables as well as reliable internal logistics and shipping processes
• You ensure compliance with quality, safety and process specifications and participate in audits, deviations and improvement measures
• You ensure complete documentation and traceability according to our quality management system and ISO/IEC 17025
• You organize maintenance and repair work for the equipment fleet in sample preparation
• You support the continuous improvement of our workflows, equipment and internal

Your Profile

• Completed technical, manual or logistical basic training
• Professional experience in a technical, manual, manufacturing or laboratory-related environment
• Experience in a function with organizational responsibility, for example as a team leader, foreman (Polier), shift leader, deputy or in work preparation
• You like to take responsibility, like to roll up your sleeves, keep an overview even in hectic situations and know how to successfully coordinate and support employees in everyday work
• Good technical understanding and manual dexterity
• Structured, reliable and safety-conscious way of working
• Very good German skills in speaking and writing
• Confident/advanced handling of common MS Office applications
• Experience in a laboratory, production plant, in quality assurance or in an accredited environment is an advantage
• Experience with a LIMS, ERP system or a comparable digital order control is an advantage
• Knowledge of testing equipment monitoring, maintenance or technical troubleshooting is an advantage
