Registered Nurse

Acute ward S2 or T2 (S2 with treatment focus on psychosis or T2 with treatment focus on affective disorders)

The acute wards S2 and T2 address people in psychiatric emergency situations who are dependent on immediate help. We offer these people professional support. We provide help in the acute phase. This includes psychiatric emergency care with careful diagnostics, appropriate treatment, and rapid clarification of the social situation. The goals of treatment are the reconstruction of everyday skills, the development of possible coping strategies, and the stabilization of self-esteem.

The wards have different treatment focuses:
S2: Psychosis
T2: Affective disorders

Both wards work with the Safewards model and are generally managed as open wards.

If this applies to you, here are some of the most important tasks:

• Key person work: We treat our patients individually according to their needs and maintain contact with relatives
• In addition to individual talks, group offerings take place, which are also led by nursing
• Our interprofessional cooperation is a huge strength and distinguishes us. Active co-design and involvement are central components of this cooperation
• Since we work with permanent night watches, you will be deployed in a two-shift system (early and late shifts). If you would still like to do a few nights, that is certainly possible.

Should you have experience in nursing but not in the field of psychiatry, entry is still possible. What is decisive then is that you bring a lot of motivation and commitment to acquire the specific competencies.
