Legal Counsel Complaints Commission

Job Description ## According to the Public Health Act, the Commission for the review of complaints from patients, residents or users of healthcare establishments and socio-educational establishments (COP), has the mission of ensuring respect for the rights of patients and residents and processing complaints relating to care provided by health professionals as well as by healthcare establishments or institutions involving violations of human rights.  In your capacity as a legal counsel for the COP, your mission is to participate in the proper jurisdictional functioning of the COP. Responsibilities ## • Guarantee the jurisdictional functioning of the entity • Draft draft reports, decisions, letters, responses to consultations and parliamentary interventions and determinations • Proceed with the analysis of investigated files, document, consolidate and synthesize them for the members of the commission  • Establish draft reports, decisions or determinations with regard to the applicable legislation and submit them to the presidency of the commission  • Guarantee the legal compliance of the projects submitted to the commission given the fact that it is composed of non-legal members  • Assist the members of the commission within the framework of the investigation of files • Collaborate in the proper operational functioning of the entity • Conduct legal research, draft legal opinions, participate in working groups For further information, please consult the job description by clicking here or contact by email Madame Céline Amy, human resources advisor: celine.amy@vd.ch   Qualifications ## • Master in law or a degree deemed equivalent • Training in health law desired • Professional experience if possible in a registry, a law firm or a relevant field of law • Good writing skills : drafting of notes, reports, decisions, etc. • Good oral skills : ability to popularize technical information, taste for legal research • Sense of responsibility and public service ethics • Ability to adapt and flexibility • Good listening and communication In order to have all the necessary elements for the analysis of your file, we thank you for kindly sending us, in addition to your CV, a cover letter as well as your work certificates and diplomas.
