What you can contribute

• Provide legal advice and assistance for questions concerning the development of positions and consultation procedures
• Participate in the development and updating of legal bases (commentaries, ordinance texts and directives)
• Develop directives and instructions in the field of military law, the data protection law and in application of the transparency law
• Direct the operational planning as well as the technical, methodological and didactic implementation of legal training for internal services, training bodies in the Defense domain as well as external authorities
• Develop and update training documents from a didactic perspective with the help of specialized services
• Provide support to the specialized service Extremism in the army in matters of communication, case discussion and introduction of measures

What makes you unique

• University degree in law (bachelor) with several years of professional experience
• Very good conceptual skills, talent for rhetoric, elementary knowledge in didactics and pedagogy, experience in project work
• Communication skills, team spirit and networked thinking
• Good knowledge of military law, reliability and initiative
• Oral and written knowledge in a second official language

The Instruction Command (cdmt Instr) is responsible for instruction within the Swiss Army -- from recruitment to the training of officers for the militia and career soldiers, including general basic instruction. The cdmt Instr includes Higher Officer Training, Army Personnel, five application trainings, the Army Instruction Centre as well as the specialized service Women in the army and diversity. One third of the approximately 2350 employees practice civilian professions in the scientific, technical, medical, psychological, administrative or sporting fields and contribute, along with career soldiers, to the success of the army.

The Swiss Army employs more than 9000 employees in four military professions and approximately 200 civilian professions, across 110 sites throughout Switzerland. It also ensures succession by training apprentices in more than 30 trades.
