Facility Manager / Building Technician

For our client, an established Swiss industrial company with technically demanding infrastructure, we are looking for a committed, independent and solution-oriented personality as a Facility Manager / Building Technician.

In this versatile role, you will ensure the reliable operation of the buildings, technical systems and supply systems. You will take responsibility for maintenance, repair and troubleshooting, thereby making an important contribution to operational safety, plant availability and long-term value preservation of the infrastructure.

Your area of responsibility

• Ensuring reliable, safe and economical operation of the technical building infrastructure
• Care and monitoring of the building technical systems as well as independent execution of various maintenance tasks
• Maintenance and care of systems in the areas of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, compressed air and water treatment
• Carrying out inspections, maintenance work, repairs as well as systematic analysis and rectification of technical malfunctions
• Care and monitoring of the fire protection technical infrastructure such as fire alarm, sprinkler and other security systems
• Coordination and supervision of external specialist companies and service providers taking into account quality, safety and hygiene requirements
• Technical support during conversions, internal moves, adjustments to the infrastructure as well as smaller technical projects
• Organization and partial independent execution of general caretaker tasks as well as seasonal work such as winter service
• Maintenance and updating of system documentation, maintenance documents, inspection protocols and technical records
• Taking on a central contact person function in technical building management as well as availability for on-call and special assignments
• Continuous identification and implementation of improvement opportunities regarding operational safety, availability, costs and efficiency

Your profile

• Completed basic technical training, for example in a mechanical, building technical or comparable environment
• Professional experience in technical maintenance or in the operation of building and supply systems
• Knowledge in the field of heating, ventilation and air conditioning is an advantage
• Good overall technical understanding as well as strong manual dexterity
• Knowledge in mechanics, pneumatics and electrical engineering
• Experience in the maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of technical systems and facilities
• Independent, structured and reliable way of working with a high sense of responsibility
• Analytical and solution-oriented approach as well as the ability to resolve technical problems sustainably and practically
• High awareness of costs, quality and safety
• Flexible, resilient and proactive personality with enjoyment of a versatile technical field of activity
• Team-oriented way of working as well as confident communication with internal contact persons and external service providers
• Willingness for occasional assignments outside of regular working hours or to take on on-call shifts
• Very good German skills
