Tasks

Pedagogical-therapeutic promotion

You are part of a team of speech and language therapy professionals and are responsible for the assessment and therapy of preschool-aged children with difficulties in language development.

Working in a needs- and solution-oriented manner

You work in the premises of the ZFF as well as in a consulting capacity in the child's living environment (e.g., in the family, in the KITA/playgroup or in the home). You accompany parents, legal guardians and professionals with regard to the needs of the child.

Being networked

You are part of a motivated, interprofessional team and work closely with other professionals internally as well as externally and take over case management.

Profile

Experience

Ideally, you bring practical experience in speech and language therapy work with preschool children. You value cooperation with people from different cultures and linguistic backgrounds.

Personality

You are used to working independently and in an impact-oriented manner. You are communicative, flexible, a team player and enjoy engaging in cross-disciplinary cooperation.

Education

You have a Bachelor's degree in speech and language therapy. In addition, you ideally bring experience in the early childhood sector.

The Youth, Family and Sport division of the Department of Education Basel-Stadt looks after a large subject area surrounding childcare, child and youth welfare, early promotion and sport. It informs and supports children, adolescents and those involved in education and advocates for high-quality, state and private services. The promotion of mass sports and movement, in clubs and privately, is also among the central tasks. This work directly benefits many people in Basel: from children to parents to sports enthusiasts.
