Introduction

For our client, a specialized audit and valuation institute in the financial environment, we are looking for an experienced leader as Head of Audit (a) 80-100%. In this key position, you are responsible for the technical, organizational, and strategic direction of the audit division.

Tasks

• Overall responsibility for the audit division, including technical, personnel, and organizational leadership
• Ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal audit standards
• Technical responsibility for complex audit and valuation mandates in the financial and banking environment
• Strategic further development of audit approaches, methods, and internal guidelines
• Leadership, development, and promotion of engagement managers, auditors, and junior staff
• Quality assurance of audit work as well as review and approval of central reports
• Participation in strategic projects and active contribution to the future of the audit division

Profile

• Completed degree in economics/business administration and successfully passed exam as dipl. Wirtschaftsprüfer/in
• Many years of professional experience in auditing, ideally in a banking or financial services environment
• Several years of leadership experience in technical and organizational responsibility
• Very good understanding of regulatory, banking-specific, and risk-related issues
• Strategic, analytical, and solution-oriented way of thinking
• High communication and leadership competence as well as a confident appearance
• Interest in the sustainable further development of the organization, people, and audit quality
